Failed Bank Information for The First National Bank of Danville, Danville, IL

On Thursday, July 2, 2009, The First National Bank of Danville was closed by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. The FDIC was named Receiver. First Financial Bank, National Association, Terre Haute, IN acquired all deposit accounts.

The FDIC as Receiver for The First National Bank of Danville, Danville, IL has taken all actions necessary to terminate the Receivership Estate. The Receiver published a legal notice of intent to terminate the receivership on April 9, 2021 and has made all dividend distributions required by law.

Effective July 1, 2021, the Receiver was discharged and the Receivership Estate was terminated and ceased existence as a legal entity.

All deposit accounts were transferred to First Financial Bank, National Association, Terre Haute, IN ("assuming institution"). Former The First National Bank of Danville locations reopened as branches of First Financial Bank, National Association.

Your transferred deposits were separately insured from any accounts you may have already had at First Financial Bank, National Association for at least six months after the failure of The First National Bank of Danville.

You may withdraw your funds from any transferred account without an early withdrawal penalty until you enter into a new deposit agreement with First Financial Bank, National Association as long as the deposits are not pledged as collateral for loans.
