Suggest Revisions to the FDIC Strategic Plan
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is required by the Government Performance and Results Act to periodically update its long-term Strategic Plan (the Plan). The current FDIC Strategic Plan, 2005-2010 - Word 218kb (Word Help), was approved by the Board of Directors in January 2005. The FDIC is now in the process of updating the Plan and seeks input from its stakeholders and the general public on suggested revisions to be made to the plan for the six-year period covering 2008 through 2013. The FDIC promotes the stability of and public confidence in the Nation's financial system by insuring deposits, examining and supervising financial institutions, and managing receiverships. The Corporation’s Strategic Plan articulates long-term goals and objectives for the FDIC's three major program areas – Insurance, Supervision, and Receivership Management – that are essential to the achievement of that mission. These long-term goals and objectives are pursued through the establishment of specific annual performance goals and targets that are documented each year in the Corporation’s Annual Performance Plan. How to make revisions the plan We welcome your comments on and suggested revisions to our current Strategic Plan by January 4, 2008. Please send your comments electronically to Finance@FDIC.Gov, or hardcopy updates may be sent to:
