The following diagram depicts FDIC's major Program Areas and the associated Strategic Goals each Program is designed to achieve. Two categories, Program Areas and Strategic Goals. Program Areas are Insurance, Supervision and Receivership Management. Insurance connected to Insured Depositors Are Protected From Loss Without Recourse to Taxpayer Funding. Supervision has a dual connection to FDIC-insured Institutions Are Safe and Sound and Consumers' Rights Are Protected and FDIC-Supervised Institutions Invest in Their Communities. Receivership Management connected to Resolutions are orderly and receiverships are managed effectively.
