Sounds too good to be true - Correct!
The clue that this is a scam is the claim that the company will apply for the scholarships for you. All legitimate scholarship providers require you to submit your own applications, which often require an essay you must write yourself and letters of recommendation. Other clues that an email about education scholarships might be a scam:
- you must pay a fee
- the email claims you're guaranteed to win
- the email claims everyone is eligible
- the email claims that an organization is giving away millions of dollars in unclaimed scholarship money
- no telephone number
