FDIC Web Presentation: How to Prevent Online ID Theft

With identity theft continuing to be one of the fastest-growing, most sophisticated crimes in the United States, the FDIC has posted on its Web site an audio-visual presentation to help consumers protect against ID theft that originates online. Entitled "Don't Be an Online Victim," the tutorial explains how to guard against Internet thieves and electronic scams, including protections for your computer and what to do if you believe you've been victimized.
