A variety of other federal agencies also respond to consumer inquiries and produce educational material on Internet banking. The Federal Trade Commission at www.ftc.gov/bcp/menus/consumer/tech.shtm has good information, especially the "OnGuardOnline" site, on how to use the Internet safely. You can also call the FTC toll-free at 1-877-382-4357. Financial institutions, Internet service providers, consumer organizations and the news media publish tips and information you can find by searching the Web.
